DEPED TAPS TALKSHOP ANEW
June 2010, the Department of Education has once again employed the services of TalkShop which stands as its longest running partner for the training of its non-teaching personnel. In all, the partnership between TalkShop and DepED, which started in 2003, resulted in 31 successful runs for almost 3,000 employees from all over the country.
In 2008, Sheila Viesca, TalkShop CEO was commissioned to design the education department’s very first language competency benchmark to be used on a national scale by all personnel as reference for hiring, performance monitoring, and promotion.
The communication and personality enhancement programs had served as DepED’s benchmark for the subsequent training of its staff. “We missed Sheila Viesca’s personal approach in attending to DepED’s training requirements. This is carried over to her modules and workshops that are thoughtfully designed to address our needs, so our employees end up more confident, smarter, more charming, and positive,” raved a top official from DepED’s Staff Development Division.
TalkShop is a favored training partner for many firms and organizations because of its integrity in language teaching. TalkShop adheres to total programs that go beyond honing language and presentation skills – courses include positive thinking, values formation, and image enhancement, so employees learn to better motivate and appreciate both self and others.
